Verto and Octopus Energy Partnership – Zero Bills Homes for Sale

We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Octopus Energy, the UK’s second-largest energy supplier. Together, we’re launching the world’s first fully Zero Bills developments, giving households no energy bills for at least five years, guaranteed.The new gold standard for green homes, Octopus’ Zero Bills proposition is possible thanks to the design of our Zero Carbon Smart Homes™ which feature solar panels, home batteries, heat pumps and super-insulated walls and roofs. Working with this home hardware, Octopus’ tech platform, Kraken, balances the cost of drawing energy from the grid with the energy it feeds back in. The result: a home with no energy bills.

Zero Bills will save accredited households £2,074 a year, relative to the energy costs of a typical dual-fuel home (source: Ofgem). With Octopus guaranteeing no bills for at least five years, homeowners are also protected against future rises in energy prices.In the middle of a cost-of-living crisis, Zero Bills can make a huge difference to people’s lives and their home’s impact on the planet. Octopus has set itself a mission to deliver 10,000 Zero Bills homes by 2025 and, together, we’re doing everything we can to make this goal a reality.

Where to buy our Zero Bills homes

Our new development at Nexa Fields in Pinhoe, Exeter is the world’s first community built from the ground up to meet Zero Bills standards. A collection of 40 three, four and five bedroom houses, Nexa Fields has 30 homes for sale on the open market, four Discount Market Sale homes for eligible buyers, and six homes available through Sovereign Housing Association. We’re also working with Octopus to add Zero Bills technology to some of our completed developments. The Green in Falmouth is a collection of two, three and four bed homes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and fairways at Falmouth Golf Club which has been certified for Zero Bills.
