Our commitment
Verto Homes is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, magnify the screen, or rely on speech input. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How accessible this website is
We audited this website in September 2026 using automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A and AA) alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. Most of the site meets the standard. We know about the following and are working on them:
- Some images do not yet carry descriptive alternative text.
- A small number of pages scroll horizontally on narrow screens.
- Computer-generated images of homes are decorative and are not described in full.
Where we find a problem we fix it in the next release rather than waiting for a scheduled review.
What we have built in
- Every interactive control is a real link, button or form field, so it can be reached and operated by keyboard.
- Form fields have visible labels that are programmatically linked to their input.
- Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio against its background.
- Animations respect the operating system “reduce motion” setting and are disabled when it is on.
- Page structure uses real headings in order, so screen-reader users can navigate by heading.
- Content is readable and functional at 200% zoom and at a 320 pixel viewport width.
Technical information
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA, because of the items listed under “How accessible this website is” above.
